PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deterioration of the fuel injection due to deposits adhered to a tip surface of a nozzle of a fuel injection valve. SOLUTION: This fuel injection valve 1 is provided with an injection hole 7b, a seat surface 7a positioned in the upstream of the injection hole, and a ball 6 to be brought into contact and separated with/from the seat surface to open and close a fuel passage communicated with the injection hole 7b. A recessed part 7e is provided in a tip surface 7d of the nozzle provided with a minute space from the edge of the outlet of the injection hole.
