PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new bucket design for a final or 'closing' bucket which is to be assembled with a line of tangential insertion buckets on a turbine rotor wheel. SOLUTION: This turbine closing bucket 56 includes a blade-shaped part 58, and a mounting part 60 for mounting the bucket onto a turbine wheel, and it is composed to complete assemblage of a line of the tangential insertion buckets onto the rotor wheel. The mounting part has a front surface 62 and a rear surface 64, and cavities 68, 70, and 74 for weight reduction are formed inside the front surface and the rear surface. The outer side of the front surface and the rear surface of the closing bucket is substantially identical to the front surface and the rear surface of an adjacent bucket in a bucket line.
