PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a part-holding apparatus which can prevent an attitude abnormality of parts to be tested by turning on/off clamping only necessary parts to be tested, and can speed up operations. SOLUTION: The part-holding apparatus 500 loads a plurality of ICs as the parts to be tested to a plurality of inserts 16 each having a clamping mechanism 163 for fixing and releasing the ICs, or holds the plurality of ICs loaded to the plurality of inserts 16. The apparatus 500 is provided with a plurality of suction pads 504 each for holding one IC, a plurality of clamping-switching pins 506 each for turning on/off the fixing and releasing the IC by one clamping mechanism, a plurality of third base plates 503 to each of which one suction pad and one clamping-switching pin are set, and a plurality of driving means 507 and 508 for moving one third base plate to be close to and away from the insert.
