PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile communication system that can reduce the communication charge while maintaining contents accessibility. SOLUTION: In the mobile communication system where a mobile wireless terminal 300 accesses contents of the Internet 100 via a base station 210, the mobile wireless terminal 300 or the base station 210 is provided with a means by which the update state of contents stored in the mobile wireless terminal 300 and those in the base station 210 and in the Internet 100 are compared, when the comparison result indicates that no replica of the contents exists in the base station 210 and the replica existing in the mobile wireless terminal 300 is an older version, the mobile wireless terminal 300 downloads the newest replica of the contents from the Internet 100 only when the mobile wireless terminal 300 updates its contents into the newest contents, and the base station 210 stores the replica of the downloaded contents.
