PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pressure reducing valve made trouble-free by preventing a pressure reducing valve element from being flipped up even in the event of a water hammer. SOLUTION: A valve element cover 18 is fitted over the pressure reducing valve element 16 and fastened (fixed) thereto so that the valve element 16 will not be flipped up even in the event of a water hammer. Since the valve element 16 will not bite in between the sealed part 15a of a pressure-reducing port 15 and the cover 18, troubles can be avoided.
