SHIELD MACHINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shield machine capable of reliably holding cushion materials on the inner face of tail plate without substantially reducing an effective space in the shield machine. SOLUTION: Recessed grooves 11 are bored along the axial direction at several positions in the peripheral direction on the inner periphery of a tail plate 10 at the rear end section of a shield machine body. A plurality of cushion materials 6 having a protruded shape in the longitudinal sectional view are inserted into the recessed grooves 11, and both end section sides are pressed by pressing plates 9. Fixing screws 15 are inserted and screwed into fitting holes at three positions bored on each pressing plate 9, thereby the center section of each cushion material 6 is slightly protruded from the inner periphery of the tail plate 10 to serve as a receiving face of the waterproof sheet.
