PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for more accurately and efficiently searching the eyes of a person in a digital image. SOLUTION: This method comprises a step 200 for detecting iris pixels in an image, a step 208 for clustering the iris pixels, and a step for selecting at least one of the following methods for identifying the positions of eyes, that is, a method 214 for applying geometric reasoning by using the iris pixel cluster, a method 218 for applying a difference square sum method by using the iris pixel cluster, and a method 224 for applying the difference square sum method by using the pixels in the image. The method to be applied is selected based on the number of the iris pixel clusters. In another embodiment, a computer program product is included. |
