PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multiple place video conference system capable of changing conference functions in real time. SOLUTION: When a user 10 reserves an MCU service, the user 10 preliminarily requests an MCU provider 8 for an MCU 3 remote operation by an MCU operation terminal 71. The MCU provider 8 confirms the reservation contents of the MCU service from the user 10 and subsequently allows the user 10 to perform the MCU 3 remote operation in such a manner that the MCU provider 8 or other users are not affected. The MCU provider 8 issues a different reservation code in each reservation of the user 10 in order to authenticate the user 10 given the permission of the MCU 3 remote operation, and registers the reservation code in the MCU 3. The user 10 inputs the reservation code issued from the MCU operation terminal 71, and when the user 10 is authenticated, the user 10 can perform the MCU 3 remote operation from the MCU operation terminal 71 within the range of authority given from the MCU provider 8. |
