摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positive electrode active material, its manufacturing method and nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery which can drastically improve battery characteristics by improving the sphericity and making the active material particle diameter small. SOLUTION: The positive electrode active material is composed of lithium- containing transition metal complex oxide practically expressed in a formula: LixTyMzO2 (where, T denotes, at least, a kind of elements selected from transition metals, M, at least, a kind of elements selected from Mg, Al, Si, Ti, Zn, Zr and Sn, and x, y, and z denote figures satisfying 0.9<=x<=1.15, 0.85<=y<=1.00, 0<z<=0.1, respectively).
