PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polymer capable of being made into a polymer electrolyte exhibiting high ionic conductivity and having excellent processability and durability. SOLUTION: This polymer is characterized by containing >=2.5 meq/g ionic group in the molecule and having >=0.1 dl/g logarithmic viscosity of 0.05 dl/g methanesulfonic acid solution at 25 deg.C, <=5% reduction in weight when immersed in water at 25 deg.C, >=1 wt.% solubility in dimethyl sulfoxide at 40 deg.C and >=0.3 [S/m] conductivity obtained by measurement of AC impedance at 80 deg.C at 95% RH at 10,000 Hz. |
