<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a traffic information collection/service system to present traffic information generated from FCD(floating car data) without generating concentration of traffic while holding balance between measuring precision and freshness of information in tradeoff relation. SOLUTION: In the traffic information collection/service system to generate the traffic information 16 by performing a totaling processing to data received from a running vehicle and to provide the traffic information to the running vehicle, an update cycle of the traffic information to be provided is changed by reception frequency of the data uplinked from the running vehicle. In a link where many vehicles on which on-vehicle machines are mounted run, the traffic information is updated in a short cycle since many pieces of the uplinked data is collected and generation of the concentration of the traffic is prevented. On the other hand, the update cycle of the traffic information of a link with a small pieces of uplinked data are collected becomes long, however, no concentration of the traffic is generated since the number of vehicles on which the on-vehicle machines are mounted to run in the link is originally small.</p> |
