PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a red color emitting element with high brightness and high color purity. SOLUTION: The light emitting element has a light emitting material between a positive electrode and a negative electrode, and the light emitting material contains the compound expressed by the formula (1) where, R1-R8 may differ from each other, and chosen from hydrogen, alkyl group, cycroalkyl group, aralkyl group, alkenyl group, cycroalkenyl group, alkynyl group, hydroxyl group, mercapto group, alkoxy group, alkylthio group, arylether group, arylthioether group, aryl group, heterocyclic group, halogen, haloalkane, haloalkene, haloalkine, cyano group, aldehyde group, carbonyl group, carboxyl group, ester group, carbamoyl group, amino group, nitro group, silyl group, siloxanyl group, aromatic group formed between adjacent substituents, aliphatic group, or fused ring of heterocycle.
