PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use an aramid resin film as a belt base material, to detect a temperature by a temperature sensor arranged on the rear side of the belt, and also, to appropriately control the temperature. SOLUTION: As for the fixing device where a fixing part is constituted by stretching the resin belt (4) so as to be laid between a heating roller (1) and a fixing roller (6), and pressurizing the pressure roller (7) against the fixing roller (6), the temperature is detected by the temperature sensor (5) arranged on the rear side of the belt, and the deviation of the temperature detected by the temperature sensor from the fixation part temperature is corrected based on the thickness and/or heat conductivity of the belt so as to control the temperature.
