PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of an afterimage without causing the deterioration of the surface of an intermediate transfer body by improving cleaning performance. SOLUTION: In the tandem type electrophotographic device, a toner image formed on a photoreceptor 40 is transfer to the surface of the intermediate transfer body 10, and the transferred toner image is secondarily transferred by a secondary transfer device 22, so that the image is recorded on a sheet. The edge of a particle binding body 86 is pressed on the transfer body 10 at the downstream position of an intermediate transfer body cleaning device 17. A toner adhesive force reducing layer for reducing the adhesive force of toner is uniformly formed on the surface of the transfer body 10 by sticking particles composed of zinc stearate, fluororesin or the like of the binding body 86 with the rotation of the transfer body 10.
