DEVICE FOR DETECTING INK OF INK-JET PRINTER

摘要

PURPOSE: A device for detecting ink amount of ink-jet printer is provided to accurately detect ink consumption. CONSTITUTION: A contacting/non-contacting device(112), a bimetal, a fuse or a printed circuit board pattern, is placed in an ink cartridge(110) to be connected and disconnected according to temperature so as to detect whether ink is or not in the ink cartridge by periodically impressing current to the contacting/non-contacting device and observing whether the contacting/non-contacting device is contacted or non-contacted by heat as the ink restricts increase of temperature of the connected/disconnected device.
