PURPOSE: A method of setting dominant colors using spacial coherency is provided to express dominant colors as frequency and spacial coherency with dominant color values, and to non-uniformly quantize the spacial coherency on the basis of a threshold value, thereby expressing how the dominant colors are reliable by the spacial coherency. CONSTITUTION: An SC(Spacial Coherency) is calculated(101). The SC is compared with a threshold value '0.70'(102). If the SC is smaller than the threshold value '0.70', a 'QSC(Quantized Spacial Coherency) = 1' is mapped(103). If the SC is more than the threshold value '0.70', a uniform quantization is applied as many as quantization numbers remaining between a range of 0.07 to 1(104). |
