A housing (1) with entry and exit connections which are joined by means of a spherically curved turning plug (6) and are positioned in a recess (5) in the housing contains sealing ring arrangements (15) placed tightly against the surface of the rotary plug. The housing has at least one side cover (9,9') with protuberances (13,13') protruding into the gap between the housing and rotary plug. The protuberances have a concave inner periphery and outer periphery congruent with the recess in the housing, and grip round the sealing arrangements near the entry and discharge connections.
