A coin feeder (A), comprising a drum-shaped rotating body capable of feeding not only one size of coins but also different sizes of coins within an allowable range, wherein a coin receiving part (6) and a coin pressing projection (12) pressing a coin (CN) against the coin receiving part (6)are installed on the inner surface of the peripheral wall (2) of the drum-shaped rotating body (1) rotating vertically with a plurality of coins (CN), (CN) ... stored therein, the coin pressing projection (12) is operated according to the rotation of the drum-shaped rotating body (1) so as to press-hold the coin (CN) against the inner surface of the peripheral wall (2) and release the pressing of the coin at the upper position and, while a coin striking member strikes the coin (CN), the coin pressing projection (12) energizes the coin (CN) immediately before the coin press-hold state is released so as to force out the coin (CN) to the side of the drum-shaped rotating body (1), i.e., forward of the coin feeder (A).
