The elastic bandage is in an open-pore woven structure, with stretch warps and relatively inelastic wefts. One or both sides have an open-pore coating with an adhesive, to lock the weft/warp intersections. The fabric weight, when stretched and with an adhesive coating, is /} 30 g/m<2>. The shear force in the longitudinal direction is /} 12 N/cm. The wefts are of cotton, rayon staple fiber, viscose and/or polymers.
