<p>A peak power suppressing apparatus and a peak power suppressing method for suppressing a storage capacitance and an arithmetic quantity and the peak power of an OFDM signal as well. A frequency-shifting section (103) shifts an OFDM signal generated in an IFFT section (102) so that the frequency of a peak suppressing carrier in this OFDM signal may become zero. A DC setting section (105) calculates a DC signal to suppress the peak power of a frequency-shifted OFDM signal. An adding section (106) adds the DC signal from the DC setting section (105) to the frequency-shifted OFDM signal. A frequency-shifting section (111) shifts the OFDM signal with added DC signal so as to reset the frequency of a peak suppressing carrier in the OFDM signal.</p> |
