New nucleic acid encoding ciliate phospholipase A1, useful e.g. for causing secretion of proteins from Tetrahymena

Nucleic acid (I) encoding phospholipase A1 (II) from ciliates, is new. Independent claims are also included for: (1) protein (IIa) having a 351 amino acid (aa) sequence, reproduced; (2) the 110 aa N-terminal fragment of (IIa), i.e. the pre-pro-peptide; and (3) nucleic acid encoding the fragment of (b).
