A team room environment supported by a tool server (12) is provided with a team room and a document/chat room. The tool server is connected to clients (14,18) through unsecured and secure networks (16,20) respectively. The team members are permitted to access both the team and document/chat room, and the non-team members are permitted to access only the document/chat room.
