Knitted fabric, with fur effects, uses yarns of natural fur incorporated into the knitted rows, and hung in place at structured points, to give fur effects in a lightweight fabric. To knit a fabric using yarns of natural fur, the fur yarn (3) is suspended at selected points between pairs of rows knitted with a bonding yarn (2). When the next row is knitted, the row of stitches with the fur yarn are cast off, and bonded into the fabric. The fur yarn hangs in every second to every sixth needle in the needle bed (4), knitted with a pattern repeat (1). The fur hair is pressed against one side of the knitted fabric.
