SIDE STAND DEVICE FOR MOTORBIKE

With a view to presenting a clear appearance by hiding a return spring, a side stand (55) is attached to the lower portion of the side face of a motorbike body through a stand bracket (80). The side stand (55) is formed into a pipe shape, in which there are fitted a return spring (73) and a retaining member (70) biased in a protruding direction by the spring. A roller (78) at the leading end of the side stand is moved to ride on a lobe (88) formed on the stand bracket (80), so that it may come into selective engagement with a second retaining recess (90) or a stand switch (91).
