<p>The invention concerns an optical warning system comprising both a light beam emitting device and a device for switching on and off said beams. The invention is characterised in that: the emitting device comprises three light areas (3, 4, 5) including a central area (3) and two lateral areas (4, 5) located on either side of the central area; the switch-control device consists of a five-position switch each of which corresponds to a combination for switching on and off the light areas (3, 4, 5) of the emitting device, selected among the following combinations: all the areas are switched off; the central area is switched on and the lateral areas are switched off; the central area and one of the lateral areas are switched on and the other lateral area is switched off; all the areas are switched on. The invention also concerns a vehicle equipped with such an alarm system.</p> |
