<p>An airbag device (10) in which a generally cylindrical inflator (16) is arranged in an airbag (14) and in which a gas is fed to the airbag (14) from gas feed holes (42) formed in the side wall of an axial end portion (16a) of the inflator. In the airbag (14), there is arranged a cup-shaped member (48) enclosing the end portion (16a) of the inflator (16) so that the gas flow to spurt from the gas feed holes (42) is temporarily received on the inner side of the cup-shaped member (48) and is fed to the airbag (14) from a passage (54) defined by the cup-shaped member (48) and the side wall of the inflator (16). As a result, the gas flow spurting from the inflator (16) is straightened to reduce the weight, to lower the cost and to prevent damage to the airbag cloth.</p> |
