<p>The invention refers to a nut (TN 1), including a body further including a threaded cylindrical hole (TN 3), for receiving a threaded member, and a protrusion (TN 4, TN 5), grippable between a thumb and forefinger, extending from the body in a longitudinal direction, where the protrusion (TN 4, TN 5) may be manipulated to position the body to engage the threaded member with the threaded cylindrical hole (TN 3). The invention also refers to a method of securing two members, including inserting a threaded member into a hole in one of the two member, inserting said nut (TN 1) into a first hole in a second of the two members such that the protrusion (TN 4, TN 5) remains substantially outside of the first hole, inserting the threaded member into a second hole substantially perpendicular to and intersecting with the first hole in the second of the two members, manipulating the protrusion to position the body of the nut to engage the threaded member with the threaded cylindrical hole and tightening the threaded member to secure the two members.</p> |
