Methods and structures are discussed that modularize network software so as to reduce or eliminate a large amount of time allocated for testing. The embodiments of the present invention discuss a method for modularizing network software. The method includes an act for forming a first part of the network software. The first part is adapted to be used for providing distributed application management. The method includes an act for forming a second part of the network software. The second part is adapted to be used for providing network element functionality. The method includes an act for forming a third part of the network software.
