<p>The invention relates to a method for sanitising fittings in a water supply system, particularly a hot-water system, said system comprising means of sanitising the water supplied, for example, by water recirculation via a third channel. Said method is characterised in comprising the following steps: a removable tap with base is installed at each water draw-off point; each contaminated removable tap is periodically removed from the base thereof; a first indicator is attached to the contaminated tap; said contaminated tap is cleaned/disinfected in a suitable device; a second indicator is attached to said disinfected tap which is different from the first indicator; said disinfected tap is returned to its position.
