Computer-based configuration system and a method in a computer-based configuration system where an end user is adapted to perform one or many actions during a configuration session in order to configure a product, the system is provided with a configuration log storing means (404) for storing a configuration log comprising one or many configuration log entries, each configuration log entry comprises pieces for identifying the end user, the configuration session and comprises a user action field where data representing an action of an end user is stored. The configuration log entry comprises a configuration state piece (304) adapted to store data representing the result of an user action, wherein configuration state data from a plurality of configuration sessions are used in a data analysis system in order to analyse end users behaviour.
