PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for fabricating a tab end of a beverage are provided to compensate for a printing error in the tab end by controlling a printing position in the tab end of the beverage can. CONSTITUTION: A tab coil is washed and dried by means of a washing machine and a drier. Then, the tab coil is introduced into a printer(16) and a laser etching device through a pitch roll in feeding device(14). A hole position detecting sensor(162) is provided to detect the position of a pilot hole formed in the tab coil. The hole position detecting sensor(162) includes a light emitting diode and a light receiving diode and detects the position of the hole as an infrared signal is applied thereto. An automatic control device(30) is connected to the hole position detecting sensor(162), pitch roll in feeding device(14), pitch roll out feeding device(18) and printer(16) so as to generate a control signal. The automatic control device(30) recognizes the position of the pilot hole based on the signal transmitted from the hole position detecting sensor(162). Then, the automatic control device(30) sends a driving control signal to the pitch roll in feeding device(14) and the pitch roll out feeding device(18) in order to compensate for the tolerance.
