摘要 <p>Process for decreasing esterase activity present in a mixture with D-amino acid oxidase (DAO) activity or glutarylacylase (GAC) activity comprises treating the mixture with phenylmethylsulphonyl fluoride (PMSF). Independent claims are included for: (1) production of glutaryl-7-aminocephalosporanic acid (Gl-7-ACA) comprising: (a) treating a mixture having esterase activity and (DAO) activity with PMSF; (b) reacting cephalosporin C (Ceph C) with a mixture obtained in step (a) to obtain Gl-7-ACA; (2) production of 7-aminocephalosporanic acid (7-ACA) comprising: (a) treating a mixture having esterase activity and GAC activity with PMSF; (b) reacting Gl-7-ACA with a mixture obtained in step (a) to obtain 7-ACA. (3) production of spherical particles from microorganism cells having an enzyme activity comprising: (a) treating microorganism cells with a primary or secondary amine containing polymer; (b) contacting an organic solvent which is able to form a two-phase system with water with a mixture of microorganism cells; (c) treating a mixture obtained in step (b) with a bifunctional agent and isolating the spherical particles obtained. (4) spherical particles obtained as above; (5) production of Gl-7-ACA comprising: (a) reacting microorganism cells having (DAO) activity with a primary or secondary amine containing polymer; (b) contacting an organic solvent capable of forming a two-phase system with water and a mixture of microorganism cells; (c) treating a mixture obtained in step (b) with a bifunctional agent and isolating the spherical particles obtained; (d) treating a mixture having esterase activity in the presence of (DAO) activity with PMSF. or treating the spherical particles obtained in step (c) having esterase activity in the presence of (DAO) activity with PMSF; (e) reacting Ceph C with spherical particles obtained in step (c) to obtain Gl-7-ACA. (6) production of 7-aminocephalosporanic acid (7-ACA) comprising: (a) reacting microorganism cells having (GAC) activity with a primary or secondary amine containing polymer; (b) as in (5); (c) as in (5); (d) treating a mixture having esterase activity in the presence of (GAC) activity with PMSF. or treating the spherical particles obtained in step (c) having esterase activity in the presence of (GAC) activity with PMSF; (e) reacting Gl-Ceph C with spherical particles obtained in step (c) to obtain 7-ACA.
