Disclosed is a connector element for connecting two rods (6, 9) or screws used to stabilize bones or vertebrae. The connector element consists of a connecting part (10), a first part which can be joined to one of the rods and a second part which can be joined to the other rod. The first part (12) is joined to the connecting part (10) by means of a device (20) enabling polyaxial orientation, thereby enabling rods which are inclined or slanted or parallel in relation to each other to be fixed to each other.
