PURPOSE: A sawtooth wave generating circuit is provided to compensate for the nonlinearity of voltage controlled oscillator(VCO) as well as to control accurately the VCO with simply constructing the circuit by converting a driving voltage supplied to the VCO into the sawtooth wave and compensating for the generated sawtooth wave with feeding back to a control block. CONSTITUTION: A sawtooth generating circuit for a nonlinear compensation of a VCO includes an integrating block(22) for generating a sawtooth wave by integrating an applied driving voltage and being operated by supplying the generated sawtooth wave to the VCO, a feedback loop(23) for feedbacking a part of the sawtooth wave output from the integrating block(22) to the input terminal of the driving voltage and an adder(21) for adding the sawtooth voltage feedback through the feedback loop(23) to the driving voltage inputted from the outside and for supplying the result to the integrating block(22) again.
