Coolant(s) are sprayed in, directed over the material, to take up the required quantity of heat. Preferred features: Coolant is sprayed at several locations along the conveyor, which is placed under reduced pressure. Coolant and air are blown or sucked through the conveyor impeller. The coolant is water or similar; it takes up heat and carries it away. Coolant flowrate is controlled. Instantaneous coolant throughput is measured.
