Method and media distribution system for storage and transmission of video data

The storage and transmission of contents in form of video data is carried out within the frame of a digital media distribution system with data base accessible, via data channels by users with terminals and different hard- and software. Each content in the data base is store precisely once as a primary video data bank with max. information content. At each access of a user the hard- and software of its terminal and data channel to it are detected and the result is fed to a control input of a data matching computer. Further process steps are specified with respect to real time. Independent claims are included for digital media distribution system.
