A method of logging-on or registering a user with a service unit joined via an authentifying unit to the user, in which the user within the framework of a first authentification communicates first authentification information to the authentification unit, and in a second authentification a second authentification information is communicated to the service unit. The user communicates a log-on information to the authentifying unit and the latter relays this information of the user to the service unit. After first- and second-authentification, the user is logged on or registered by using the log-on information with the service unit.
