PURPOSE: To provide a battery charging device, which can avoid the influence of the over voltage to a battery at the time of connecting/disconnecting the battery to/from a battery charging unit and which can avoid the generation of spark discharging from the electrodes. CONSTITUTION: A battery charging unit 1 and a battery 2 are connected to each other through male terminals 5a, 5b and female terminals 9a, 9b of a charging electrode for supplying the charging current and male terminals 6a, 6b and female terminals 10a, 10b of a control electrode for controlling the charging. The male terminals 6a, 6b of the control electrode are formed shorter than the male terminals 5a, 5b of the charging electrode, and after the male terminals 5a, 5b of the charging electrode are connected first, the male terminals 6a, 6b of the control electrode are connected later. |
