PURPOSE: An operation state display method of a key phone set is provided to display various operation states of the key phone set by using two LEDs. CONSTITUTION: An LED controller receives and stores an LED control data applied form a controller, and analyzes the LED control data(200). If the LED control data is a 'ring' LED ON data(202), the LED controller controls so that one LED of two different colored operation state LEDs included in a key input unit can be blinking in case that the ring is received from an office line and that a different color LED can be blinking when the ring is received from an extension(204). If the LED control data received from the controller is a 'busy line' LED ON data(200), the LED controller turns on one of the two different colored operation state LEDs to display that the key phone set is busy(208). If the LED control data received from the controller is a 'message reception' ON data(200), the LED controller controls so that one specific LED among the two different colored operation state LEDs blinks at a certain period and displays the message reception(212).
