A telecom adaptor connector comprises a plug body part 1, a body part 2 having a plurality of socket outlets 22, 23, a terminal retaining piece 4 and a plurality of terminals 3, each terminal having a plug contact 31 and two contacts 33, 34 each located in a respective socket outlet 22, 23. The terminals 3 are inserted into the plug body part 1 and retained by latching the retaining piece 4 into the plug body part 4. The terminals are then inserted into the socket outlets when the body parts 2 and 3 are joined. The plug may be of British format and the socket outlets may comprise one of British format and one of US format.
