PURPOSE: To secure uniformity of illuminance, even when an amount of the illuminance is made small, by adjusting a predetermined dimmer, while realizing the optimal state from a viewpoint of the uniformity of the illuminance, and ultraviolet ray illuminance efficiency, when the amount of illuminance is large. CONSTITUTION: The dielectric barrier electric discharge lamp light source equipment is provided with a dielectric barrier electric discharger lamp 1 constituted so that a dielectric might intervene between at least one side of electrode of the two electrodes for inducing electric discharge and a gas for electric discharge, while having an electric discharging space, where the gas for electric discharge which generates excimer molecules by the dielectric barrier electric discharge, and further provided with electric supply equipment US to UT for impressing a high voltage of almost periodic alternative current, in the above electrode of the electric barrier electric discharge lamp 1. In the above electric supply equipment, a setting means UD which can set up a drive frequency of the high voltage of the almost periodic alternative current, and can set up a voltage amplitude of the high voltage of almost periodic alternative current, according to the drive frequency above setup.
