Cylinders and rollers electrical drive system for sheet paper printing machine

The five-colour sheet paper printing machine (1) has five printers each with a plate cylinder (3), a rubber cylinder (4) and a pressure cylinder (5). Between two pressure cylinders (5) there is a feed cylinder (6) to move a sheet of paper (8) stacked in the pile (7) from one printer (2) to the next printer and finally to the pile (9). The pressure and the feed cylinders have gripping elements (10) and for precisely aligned printing these elements must themselves line up at the paper feed time to within 5 micrometres, monitored by the signal processing unit (24). The printers have direct drive synchronous motors (11), each controlled by an electronic unit (13) and a regulator (15) with an optical interface (16), using information from an angle sensor (12) and the power units (17,17a).
