COMBINATIONS OF ESTROGEN AND PROGESTOGEN FOR PREVENTING AND TREATING SKIN AGING

PURPOSE: Provided are a method for preventing and treating skin aging in a mammal by administering compositions containing a progestin and an estrogen, and a method for preventing and treating acne by administering compositions containing a progestin and an estrogen. CONSTITUTION: A medicament, which is effective for delaying the onset and treating skin aging, characteristically comprises an effective amount of a fixed quantity of a synthetic estrogen and a synthetic progestin. For example the medicament comprises an effective amount of a fixed quantity of ethinyl estradiol (EE) and norethindrone acetate (NA) represented by the formula(1) and (2) respectively.
