A method of manufacturing an electrical component 10 having at least two conductive tracks 16, 20 formed on the surface of a body of the component 10 comprises, moulding a three dimensional structure from plastics material, the shape defining first and second spaced portions 16, 20 connected by one or more connecting tabs (44 of figure 2), plating the structure with a conductive layer, carrying out a further moulding step which at least partially fills the spacing 24 between the first and second portions 16, 20, wherein the connecting tabs (44 of figure 2) project outside an outer surface of the component 10, and removing the connecting tabs (44 of fig 2) thereby isolating the first and second portions 16, 20 from each other. Also claimed is an electrical component 10 produced by the above method.
