PURPOSE: A method for melting a molybdenum core using as a catalytic agent a waste solution containing ferric sulfate generated during melting an iron core in the manufacturing process of a filament is provided. The process is environment friendly because it does not generate waste water, reduces the production cost and improves productivity because the process is performed with a low amount of hydrogen peroxide. CONSTITUTION: Pure water and hydrogen peroxide water are introduced into a reactor(10) in which a tungsten filament coiled on the periphery of a molybdenum core is introduced, pure water, hydrogen peroxide and sulfuric acid are then introduced thereinto to remove an iron core used as a center supporting rod. In the above process, a waste solution containing ferric sulfate collected in a collecting tank(30) is used to remove the molybdenum core, the hydrogen peroxide water is added in an amount of about 2 to 5L, based on 200g unit mass of the molybdenum core and 10L pure water.
