PURPOSE: An exhausting method of a plasma display panel is provided to reduce exhaustion time in an exhaustion process. CONSTITUTION: To exhaust a plasma display panel, a vacuum chamber(40) is used before sealing. A top plate(50) having a top substrate(30) thereon and a bottom plate(54) having a bottom substrate(32) thereon are placed in the vacuum chamber(40). After completing exhaustion in the vacuum chamber(40) by heating the top and the bottom substrates(30,32), N2 gas is injected into the vacuum chamber(40) through a chamber exhaustion pipe(52). The top plate(50) goes near the fixed bottom substrate(32) to attach the top and the bottom substrate(30,32) and seal them by heating. After sealing, N2 gas is exhausted and discharge gas is injected through an exhaustion pipe(42) and then the exhaustion pipe(42) is sealed. |
