PURPOSE: A plane surface recognition method and method for creating stereo graphic image is provided to allow design change or pricing to be easily performed. CONSTITUTION: A plane surface recognition method comprises a first step(S101) of searching whether a new bi-directional edge for interconnecting vertexes at a plane diagram exists; a second step(S104,S106) of selecting a starting edge and designating a starting vertex, if it is judged in the first step that a new edge exists; a third step(S108,S112) of judging whether it has reached at the starting vertex, and repeatedly performing processes of searching, registering and selecting optimum adjacent edges if it has not reached the starting vertex; a fourth step of creating a wall surface in accordance with a circle constituted by the registered starting edge and optimum adjacent edges, if it has reached the starting vertex; and a fifth step of repeatedly performing first to fourth steps until new edges are searched.
