The invention proposes a method for achieving chemical, in particular biochemical reactions in a reaction liquid (168) using a pipette tip (114) of a pipetting device, by means of which the reaction liquid (168) is picked up by a suction opening (126) in the pipette tip (114) and transferred to a reaction chamber (149) in a reaction liquid receiving unit (112). At least one part or part of the component of the reaction liquid (168) is transferred to the reaction chamber (149) using the pipette tip (114). To seal the reaction chamber (149), an opening in the reaction chamber is sealed by means of the pipette tip (114), whereby the suction opening (126) of the pipette tip lies inside the reaction chamber (149).
