The door (2) is swivel mounted by at least one hinge on the container (1). The movement of the door into an open position and the holding of the door in its closed position is supported by a damping element moved in a viscous fluid and by a helical spring in the door's pivot axle. The helical spring is enclosed in a sleeve which has a thread-like groove. One end of the helical spring is fixed, and the other end is next to a bar (8) movably mounted in the door's pivot axle. The bar is joined to at least one bolt.
