PURPOSE: An implementation of a hard disk using a RAM(Random Access Memory) is provided to allow the hard disk composed of a magnetic disk to store data using the RAM, and to maintain data using a battery if electricity is not supplied. CONSTITUTION: A hard disk controller reads and writes data of a RAM in a hard disk, not a magnetic disk. If electricity is not supplied to a computer, a battery supplies electricity and data are continuously maintained in the hard disk. If electricity is supplied to the computer, the battery is automatically charged up. Accordingly, an access speed of the hard disk is improved, as the speed of the RAM is larger in comparison with the speed of a magnetic disk. And the hard disk has a lower price in comparison with the configuration of a memory device, such as a flash memory, with other semiconductor memories.
